We are currently in our “Finding Our Home” phase, working with community leaders and regional partners across Hays County to identify the right location.



Yes! We’re actively building partnerships, designing accessible exhibits, securing sponsors, and engaging the community. 


 As one of the fastest-growing areas, Hays County needs more spaces for accessible, hands-on learning, creative play, and family connection 


Donate, sponsor an exhibit, partner as a business, volunteer, or attend events. Every contribution helps build the museum…literally!


Play Makers help fund and create real parts of the museum, with opportunities for recognition and lasting impact. When it opens, you’ll be able to say: “Look what we built.”


Recognition may include naming opportunities, inclusion on the Play Makers Wall, permanent displays, and storytelling. 


Yes! The Children’s Museum of Hays County is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.


Timing depends on funding, site selection, and community participation. We’re focused on building an accessible museum the right way. 


Join our email list, follow us on social media, and attend community events.  This isn’t just a museum. It’s a community movement and every Play Maker helps bring it to life.
